Kain Buruk Ayah

Kain buruk ayah
kalau tiada segala
buat menjadi payah
jangan sekali-kali diserah
nanti hati ayah jadi parah

Ke danau buat basahan
kalau di kepala jadi lilitan
berteleku di surau menyembah Tuhan
dingin malam menyelimuti badan

Jangan diserah kain buruk ayah itu
biar rabak, putus benang beribu
biar renyuk, kedut berdebu
tiada sehari hati ayah jadi sebu

Kain buruk ayahku
kusam dan masam berbau
hari-hari dibasuh ibu
kasih mereka menjadi jitu

Kain buruk ayah kini tiada
sejak ayah emak pergi berdua
kurang sejengkal masih tinggal di beranda
kekal di situ menjadi tanda
